Re: 1972 SWB Thinking of buying
Not really truck related but I noticed you are from Canadian Texas. About 3 years ago I contracted with the Texas Forestry Service to fight those bad wild fires ya'll had for a few weeks. I absolutely fell in love with the town and the folks who live there. I have never found a nicer or more gracious bunch in my life. I'd live there if I could figure out how to make a living in the area.

Re: 1972 SWB Thinking of buying
Thanks for all the nice comments everyone....and the thread info. Tx Fierefighter thanks for the nice comments about our town...there are many people here who put back into our community and we all have alot of pride about our home......I remeber the fires all to well....one came within about 2 miles south of my house and another within 5 miles to the west of us. They stopped the one to the south with that red powder they dropped from an airplane, thank god. Nice to have such a positive bunch of guys on here...I am also into older semi-trucks on another web board and there are so many know-it-alls, and negative people.......this is refreshing to say the least! Will try to start my own thread and keep everyone updated as I finish this up.

Re: 1972 SWB Thinking of buying
While we were there we rented an awesome 3 story house from some nice woman. She seemed to be very well known in the town. Her dad owned the lumberyard there in town. She rented her house us for a week and went to Amarillo and
stayed with her boyfriend.
