There have been a couple of other things that have been done to the truck in the last 3 years.
New nerf bars or sliders, depending on how you look at them. Mounted, but you can see how bad the body mounts are. So, I had to fix those.

Also, there was a spot on the right back of the cab that always looked suspicious to me. I went after it with the wire-wheel, and was sadly surprised with this swiss cheese section:

So, I had to take care of it:
Not perfect, but with a little bit of body filler I think it'll look good. Have just one hole left to close up, but the garage was about 110 when I quit at about 4 yesterday afternoon.

Now that I've gotten the passenger side done (forgot to take pictures before I turned it around in the garage) I've decided to get to work on the drivers side. Didn't get the inner sill/floor piece from Grumpy's on Friday since it wasn't in stock, so I didn't get a chance to measure it out. That didn't stop me from cutting away though.

I also managed to cut away the floorboard to get the inner rocker/outer cab floor replaced:
And putting the pieces in to mock up the final fit.

eh, sometimes this bugs me... if I was in the process of slamming a 2x4, I'd get all kinds of crazy comments. But, I've got a k-20, and it seems that there's not nearly as much support for the 4x4, 3/4 ton's as there is for the 1/2 ton 2x4's out there.... just saying...

Truck is looking great. Although I appreciate a slammed 2x4 and all there is something special about a 4x4 build. Someday I want my 77 to be that nice for now it's just a beaten up driver that's getting a big block

Thanks Tony. This is going to end up with a little bit more than a big-block. I've gotten the wife to agree to building up a Duarmax/Allison combination. While I've not nailed down the specifics yet, I know that the body-work on the cab is going to be the starting point. Hopefully, next year it'll go under the re-power process.

I will remember that. I've been wanting to go diesel power for some time now, but after looking at the work that's gone into the cummins re-power I'm thinking about keeping with the chevy line-up... will wait and see, but I don't think that it'll happen before march/april of next year. We'll see what is around the bend. Right now, I keep focusing on getting rid of the rust in the cab. It's just a pain when the outside temp remains over 1oo...

So, I have the same truck and didn't see a shot of what exactly you're running for wheels but I'd like to get something decent for mine. What do you have for wheels/tire size and brand? I got those ol steelies and while they'll work for what I want to do, I'd like to find something just slightly more aestetically pleasing...

Looks like spray foam in the cab cornors that is the worst thing a person could do . It just eats up the metal faster.

Well, it has been a while since I've had time to work on this over the weekend. I did manage to get my replacement parts from Grumpy's Truck Parts before they went out of business.
In the boxes I have two doors, a front fender and a tail gate. I'd picked up the inner wheel wells earlier as well as the other front fender. Those pieces had all gotten pretty beaten up, and was easier to replace than it was for me to reshape.
