I'd have to say power steering, but 5 lug conversion comes in pretty close too.

67 chevy style body on my 72 (no marker lamps or trim)[/QUOTE]

I Have to agree. I have not driven my truck yet but I think that the Posi and 3:73's would be on the top of the list along with the drop kit and the New 700R oh and the rebuilt 355 The 90's S10 billte bowtie on the 67 chevy clip looks Killer too....... Well basically everything I have installed is my favorite.

Very little in the way of mods. HEI and a Sun Super Tach are about it. Well, I do have 33/12.50-16.5s on 9.75 rims, and 2" Softride front springs.

Sounds like I'm in the minority; I have installed many sets of points, and finally tired of it in the truck - just too hard to reach.

Brand new front swaybar bushings helped a helluva lot! Also got a new set of points now it's running like brand new.

My favorite mod so far is my 700R4, but ask me next week and it might be my ECE 4/6 drop I will be doing this weekend.

I just got the truck about a month ago, and it's been cold ever since, so I haven't really done any modding. I cleaned the junk out of the interior, put in 3 air fresheners and washed it. I'll go with the air fresheners

I want a set of tow hooks!!! They don't even have to orig. Got stuck and I tied a tow strap around my brand-new re-pop bumper!! I got away with it.

I no longer consider HEI a mod. Far as I am concerned, never knew they came without em.

Favorite drivability mod is the 700R4. Best stock replacement was all of the control arm bushings and balljoints.

Most unnecessary mod? The serpentine set-up.

Favorite cosmetic: New dash pad then the steering wheel.

Where should I start? 4.10's rock! Slicks are nice. Gotta say nitrous is the best mod to date. I have it on all my cars!

I got stuck weekend before last down at the American River. Got stuck bassackwards and had to get pulled out by the trailer hitch ball. Didn't even get to use the tow hooks

swapping bodys ,and updateing / dropping my suspension are by far the best , the body played a big role as now I dont have to hide my face when I walk up to it in a parking lot and while I drive

For me I would say getting rid of the 3 on the tree and going with a floor shifter. After that the HEI and late style 60/40 seats.

Mine will be an ECE front drop in a few weeks. But as of now, installing a set of $2.50 fuzzy dice.

Mine's got to be the 454 - just love looking into the engine bay and seeing it instead of the 307 - (would be nice to drive too if I ever get it road worthy)

Yanking the V8 in favor of an I6 and 3 speed on the column. These 2 mods actually make a classic truck a classic truck.

Oh and dumping the aftermarket wheels in favor of OE steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps.

Yes, its true, my truck will always be a timeless classic, and yours will be a dated custom in 10-15 years.

My most favorite so far is changing to square headlights, recessing the front bumper and adding the custom built hood scoop. Second favorite is adding a caddy five lug rear disc rearend and 79 c10 5 lug front suspension with power steering.

My favorite cosmetic change was fitting the narrowed El Camino rear bumper to the back of my stepside. For comfort, the newer model seat. For cruising pleasure the 5 speed tranny, for in town driving the rebuilt front end with power steering, for reliability the new 350 with HEI. It's all good.

1.Power steering-so I can turn it
2.Disc brakes/changing to five lug-so I can stop it
3.Late model seat- so my fat butt is confortable
4. 700R4-so I can cruise
5.Tilt wheel-so I can get my fat belly behind the wheel

I did an inventory last night and realized that the only original items left on my truck since CARS4567 left it in my pasture are the frame, two rear fenders and the grill! I think almost everything I have done has been an improvement...but my favorite has to be the rear bags...love the drop!
