I guess I have to side with GMC's because I own one, but I did notice when shopping for a truck, that if you found similiar condition equipment Chevy and GMC trucks for sale, the Chevy would ALWAYS cost you more than the GMC. Even though they are the same, I guess most people just prefer Chevy.

I've always thought of GMC's as "grandpa's" truck and Chevy's as the "kids" truck. That's why I have both, I may be gettin older but I'm still a kid at heart.

corba is right..up here in canada there is at least as many gmcs as chevs, i bet more as a matter of fact....

Interesting comments.
I personnaly like the Chevy front end better than the GMC. So much so that I am taking a 72 GMC long bed I got a screaming deal on and making a 72 Chevy short bed out of it. Let me tell you, this is a heck of a lot of work and parts swapping.

actually, there are a few other subtle differences. like the fact that for the 67-72 GMC's, they used the 68 Chevy fenders through those 6 years. as well, even though you could order the frame either way, the standard for GMC's were leaf spring rear ends, while the Chevy's were coil springs. IMHO, i think that the Chevy frames are better because of the trailing arm setup. virtually no wheel hop if you try and spin the tires. I've got both, so I'm not biased to either one.
