Dave I've seen you how you look at that truck first hand and how you baby that thing. I say sell the bike. If you want to ride one go rent one from time to time. I know you can't get rid of the bird for your MPG but damn get rid of the bike and spend some $$$ on the truck to make ii where you're happy with it then. Besides make the GF park her car outside

I have to agree with Brandon here. You can replace the bike any time. Trying to replace your truck wouldn't be easy. Even though you have some minor issues, they can be resolved.

I thought I paid too much for my 77, untill I started adding up what it would take to do it myself. That and the fact that it would be about as far along as my Blazer is....maybe

Keep your truck, and get a fresh start on it. If not, you will be like for a looooong time.

BTW- $5500...:p

All I've got to chime in here, is that I NEVER fix anything for myself, with the intention of selling it. We all know it's a losing proposition. You'll never get back what you put into it.

Brandon hehe She does park hers outside haha its the only one in the garage. But its a one car garage and we need the room. The bike is not really an issue. its only 150/month...not much at all. Know what I mean?

If you can afford the maintenance and breakage on these old Chevy trucks, then you can afford the maintenance and breakage on a Harley....but maybe not at the same time...so sell the truck and buy a HOG!

I am not quite sure what you are asking. At the time, I had a guy offer me $6000 and I turned him down. I have since completely redone the interior. It might be up for sale in the next couple of months.

Bottom line is its an 80's Chevy truck. Its not a collector. You cannot expect to get every penny out of it that you have put into it.

and with that comment, i am going to nominate Low87on20s to be banned from the site. how can you say a harley is better than a truck? ever try riding your harley when its below 50*? how about when its snowing or raining? plus, trucks just look cooler and can sound 100X better.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I routinely ride mine when it's below 50. Also have ridden in the rain on numerous occasions but never in the snow. As for sound, well like everything else, that's simlpy a matter of opinion.

In Jeremy's defense, he is our resident smart ass...I hardy doubt he meant what he said to low87on20s in a serious tone.

However, what he said doesn't give you the authority to start calling people names...sounds kind of childish to me.

It is not the first time I have seen you do that lately, so I reported your post to a mod.

First off.............Do a tritilation on your LSD with Acetone=3 times!!
That stuff is making you say some weird things! LOL
All I say is you will regret it FOREVER and we will lose a good member.
If I could trade my truck for a F50..........yes, I would do it.
But that ain't going to happen anytime soon.

Jeff, you hit the nail on the head with the smartass part. many of my posts do contain sarcasm, that's just my personality. if he would have said get rid of the truck and buy a crotch rocket, then we'd have a problemon our hands.

Chevyguy, i was doing some thinking since you've been involved in several posts where its the American dollar VS the Canadian dollar. that $30Kbike in Canada may only cost $20K here in the states. so that means the Canadian dollar is worth less than the US dollar, correct? when i throw in my opinion, people refer to it as my 2 cents. since you're Canadian, and there is an exchange rate, that means yours is worth less, right?

sorry to all you Canadians out there, well, most of you anyways.

Dave just rip that Holley piece of crap off there and get a Edelbrock 1406. I can teach you (yes even you) to tune it. It's easy!! You've had so much trouble with that carb ever since you had the engine installed.

Brandon, are you SURE you can teach Dave how to tune a carb? i'm not sure that that's possible. although i did see a monkey once at the circus riding a unicycle and juggling, so i guess anything is possible.
