Ok, I like the tilt hood fine it looks great, but what is with the pipe fittings coming from the radaitor. I'm wondering what it's for?

bringing up an old topic. I was looking for some cool ways to hinge a hood and came across this one. After seeing that pipe in the pics, I also would like to know what it's for. This is such a sick wicked custom job

The pipe fittings are not coming off the radiator. They are just close to it. It is for the air bag setup, follow the lines back toward the crossmember then it will make sense. The air bags is also why he had to flip the hood, when you get that low on 20's the tires hit the stock hinges. I will be duplicating this idea. Someday hehe

Dubie,
I did something similar to one of my fatfords. Here's a link to the article on FTE. The pic numbers are screwed up, but you'll get the idea. I think you can make it work for a 67-72 and I know you can make it work for Ms. Dubie's new ride. http://www.ford-trucks.com/articles/2003/2.php Good Luck!
