I have been talking with Terry at Wheel Smith, a very knowledgable guy about my situation. All in All I have decided to go with the stock C4 front brakes!

This eliminates a lot worry about steering problems, opens up my wheel selection and I can run all 4 the same!

Chip,

Before I order any rim I want to make sure I understand what you are saying you ordered for your C4 on four corners rims?

16 X 8 rear with 4.75 backspace?
16 X 7 front with 4.75 backspace?

I have decided to go with stock C4 on all four corners considering that both vehicles weigh in at about GMC 3150LB curb / Corvett 3293 curb
close enough for horse shoes or dancing
And it open up my wheel selection wide open!!!!

Have you mounted the rims yet, checked them for fitment?

Re: C4 Vette sub frame & running 4 of the same wheel?

Are you an earlier or later gen C4?
Mine is an first gen 84, which stock has the exact wheel on all 4 corners.
If you are looking at the later gen, stock might have been different size front to rear with different offsets. I don't know what year your Vette suspension is from. The only reason I went to 16 x 8 with the 4.25 backspacing as my rollers are 6.5 wide with plenty of space, and the widest others have put under these trucks with these suspensions was noted as 8". I may have gone too wide, but all the wheels are identical to keep the footprint equal.
With medical issues happening, the only thing I've done is dry fitted the wheel alone on the rear with the fender hanging on the bed last fall. Talked to my tire guy today to say I'll be down in a couple of months with one wheel and a list of tire sizes to keep height required. I might have to order new narrower wheels if they are too wide.
