Re: What did you trucks cost you?
My pick up cost me $10 for fuel to drive it home. The blazer was $1000 that I can pay when ever I get the money...

Re: What did you trucks cost you?
71 "Slow build" was 7k 8yrs ago and was a finished truck untill the tools came out Now 13k later it is close to being driven again.
70 "Low buck" Free and now 3k later it is almost all rebuilt and ready to drive everywere as I work on the body for paint. Goal is about 5k total (no labor) build and in the mags 70 2wd Blazer 2k drove it on a trailer for the ride home. When I start on this one it will cost more then the others put together Kevin LFD Inc. |

Re: What did you trucks cost you?
Mine was 5k, rockers were changed, no rust anywhere, in primer ready to paint, new rebuilt 350. lots of extra parts, cowl hood. I think I paid too much for it but it was so clean and had been in storage for years so I couldn't help it, had to have it.

Re: What did you trucks cost you?
well, let's see. I guess I should go by the years:
1968 K20 - $1800 + gas money to Cali. It's in good shape (bad rust to me, but to you 'rust belt' types, low rust). The PO had wires 5 & 7 crossed and sold it cheap because 'the cam was bad'. 1969 K10 swb fleet- Nothing. It was a ranch pickup my Dad had, and he gave it to me. 1972 c10 long step - $100. %50 for the pickup, $50 for gas. My brother-in-law bought it for the engine, and probably would have taken the body to the scrapyard for crushing if he didn't know I liked them. 1972 K10 'burb - $3500. It's in fantastic shape. The rockers are 100% solid, decent interior, dual air, custom deluxe option, top of the line for 1972. Of course, I have dumped about another $5000 into it since then, so it has cost me $8500 by now.

Re: What did you trucks cost you?
$700.00, No drive train. Interior sheetmetal is painted the blue color you see in the pic. Has new Goodmark front fenders, no rust, needs a little body work that the PO rushed. Bought a '70 parts truck for the wheels, tires, motor and tranny. Since then, have swapped the 3spd Saginaw for a TH350. It now pulls the trailer you see it sitting on.

Re: What did you trucks cost you?
7k 4 years ago with new 350, new Edlebrock Performer manifold with 1406 carb, new headers & exhaust, new paint, new interior, new sparyed in bedliner, and new power brake booster. Since then I've added a/c, stereo, updated electric including a 90 amp alt, suspension is about 75% new, added disc brakes, insulation for the cab, more little things than I can recall right now. All in all I've got it up about 13k. Just appraised for 19k.

Re: What did you trucks cost you?
Well lets see, Truck was passed to me by my mom after my dad passed. So truck was free. The several builds over the last 17 years has cost about 20K, and curently it sits in pieces.the way it looks in my avitar was before I pulled it apart. But its getting closer!!

Re: What did you trucks cost you?
Bought my '70 K10 for $375 a couple weeks ago. I rebuilt the brakes to make it road worthy. Runs awesome but leaks like a mother. The 4by works I tested it. The whole truck is rusted badly though.

Re: What did you trucks cost you?
Nice safe clean "driver" but not a show rig by any means. About $ 7500 in it so far (truthful is my middle name). Still needs more.
Fully rebuilt & reliable 350 - 350 drivetrain & swapped disk brake front end, otherwise stock suspension. OK paint. Crappy interior, and I'm planning on a full rewire eventually, then a 3/5 drop. Whenever I'm nearby, I fell this not-so-gentle tugging sensation on my wallet. I think it's saying "feed me." What can I say, it's true love. |

Paid $1,000 and it was a piece of crap when I got it. It still looks like a piece of crap, but at least it's mechanically sound

$3500 from original owner. I have some minor body work to do. But it now has only 72,00 original miles on it. NO RUST!

Re: What did you trucks cost you?
My 67 4x4 cost me $1250, and my 72 2wd (not running) cost me $1000 and the tow home. I refuse to keep track of how much I'm spending on either. Keeps me excited, and the wife uninterested.
