Moog part number for the 83-87 was K6117T, there online support could not give me an interchange to a Carquest number. Because I'm in the parts business, Wandering if you got the wrong part from Carquest because of an interchange problem/mis-information in there system.... Support did not offer any suggestions other then trying there part. Sorry wasn't much help. Pappyx4! Posted via Mobile Device Last edited by Pappyx3!; 06-12-2015 at 01:37 AM. |

Re: Lower Ball joint issues...
The balljoints not only need to fit the control arms, but also need to fit the spindles being used. Since the OP is using his stock '63 control arms and '73-'87 spindles, he should be using '73-'87 balljoints.

Re: Lower Ball joint issues...
After reading thru this thread I realized I totally misunderstood what you were attempting to do, thought you were just having problems finding the correct part for the 63 app. Sorry for adding a bunch of confusing posts!
Hope everything comes together for you! Pappyx3! Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Lower Ball joint issues...
Hey Pappy no need to be sorry all good I appreciate your help...I solved the issue I believe with the Raybestos oversized ball joints...I'll have them next week so I'll know then...if not I'll make a sleeve and or lay a bead of weld around the lip as suggested...I'll win this one! The classic industries ball joints turned out to be for Camaros and S 10s.
