Behind the 69? That would be my burb, but it sits at my shop for now, if you are refering to it, a 67 rust free front clip and a 72 short stepside bed is what is sitting behind it for now. Lots of plans, too many projets, hurt back (bad combination


Can you post some more pics of your Cheyenne? Or pm me and you can email them to me directly. Specifically around the wheels to get and idea of how they look setting in or out. Inside from underneath would be great to front and rear. I will take more pics, if youre after a static 4/6 drop and like my set up then follow my wheel tire combo, but if you want to go lower or bagged, then use 8.5 wide wheels up front with @ least 5.5 BS.. Here are some other pics that I found in my computy... PUROPEDO

Ron, My wheel tire combo really worked out for me, but like I mentioned before, my front tires are too wide and rub once in a while specially when I make a fast tight turn (my cheyenne dont have a sway bar, maybe adding one might solve this problem) but other than that it looks and runs good, I sacrifice the little rubbing because I really dont like skinny tires. The rear is perfect, fat tall tires,6 inch drop with no rubbing at all, just make sure you buy the super track bar from ECE and align the rear perfectly. Here are some comparasion shots of my cheyenne with 20x8.5-5.5BS Coys up front and 275/50s ( no rubbing at all with the same 4 inch front drop ) last 2 shots with the good old TTII ,personally I like the wider tires better up front on my TTII, what do you guys think?

Thanks Puropedo, that truck looks so nice! I bet with that much tire even on the 20's it probably still rides nice. Do you think I could get away with some 275/55/R20's all the way around? I know you said you have a little rub...I have a 3/5 drop with sway bars...and can get a really good deal on some 275/55/R20's. Might just have to try it I guess.

71BB_LWB, that looks nice. I can't really tell by those photos, but are the tires pretty close to the fenders? What is your backspacing on those wheels? I like those...pretty close to what I am going to get. What are they? That 4/6 looks perfect!

They are NOT too close, if you look down from the top of the fender and measure in, the fronts are 2" from the outside of the fender and the back are 1.75". I had to run spacers in the rear I think they are 1.5".
But I can rotate front to rear if I need to.

Back spacing, I'm not for sure, but the fitment is for a 90's c1500.
The actual wheel is a Boss 301. I found them on CL new in the box for $500.
I have had no rubbing issues.

Im pretty sure you can get away with that tire size and drop.

Rear coys are 20x10s 5 BS tires are 305/50/20s

Some prefer 5.5 , but my preference is 5 on the rear.

So let me see if I have this straight...Mine with a 4/6 drop...Front 20x8.5...5.5BS...275-50 tire.....Rear 20x10...5BS...305-50 Tire. Or maybe 4.5BS on fronts...why do you want to go another inch?

Stay with the front 5.5 BS , that way you wont get no rubbing problems, when hitting a bump or making a tight turn. I didnt go with the 4.5BS on purpose ( did bad measurements) but they still look ok, exept for some rubbing once in a while.

so give me your final set up sizes given your trial and error and what you think is the max sizes and proper fitment and look...?

Hey guys, I'm running TTII's also with BFG's G-Force T/A KDW-2's 255/45/18 up front and 285/55/20 out back front are too small but the back hole is all tire. The truck has a 4/5 Early Classic drop........Rick

20x805 5.5BS/ 285-50s up front.. 20x10 5BS 305-50s rears...4-6 drop kit.
( thats my suggestion judging to my prefferance )

I am rubbing with the 4.5 BS front wheels, but with the 5.5 BS coys not.

No problemo, Boss has some kickass looking wheels, I think they are the 338s model, and they are cheap, coy wheels arent that bad either but they are becoming too common (popular). Boss are cheaper, give them a try.
