I did that too, and many other things. Never got it to blow cold air with R 134. The only people I've met that had success out here were ones that switched the condensor. As soon as you are sitting in traffic and not moving, no more cold air. Went back to R 12 and zero problems.

I have the new condenser kit from summit
Is bigger and comes with the drier

It must have been my electric fans that made mine work.
