Re: Finally got my 406 back!

Nice! I have a stepside with a 400 I'd like to use as a Street/Strip truck, I haven't been to the strip in a good long time!

What's the 3 leaf pack? a stock pack you pulled leaves out of? what's your full suspension?

Re: Finally got my 406 back!

Sub 100° day calls for a cruise, got it dialed finally. Apparently 34° at idle with 24° of advance caused detonation...

Feels good to have my junker right again.

Well it was off a bit, but it stayed together for a Hundred mile trip and 3 passes. And made some ricer feel bad on the way home.

Re: Finally got my 406 back!

Can you explain what some of these numbers mean? It's been many years since I was running the dragstrip on a regular basis. Also, here in this neck of the woods, all the tracks are 1/8th mile and so, our numbers don't always equate.

So, I'm guessing that you ran a 12.40 et at 108 mph? Is this correct?

Is the .332 your reaction time?

Re: Finally got my 406 back!

Reaction time

60'

330'

660' time and mph

100' time and mph

Finally 1/4 ET and mph

Re: Finally got my 406 back!

Most of my gains have been in the 60 foot.
Every tenth in the 60' is about 2 tenths in the traps.
I started at 13.5 and chopped 1.5 seconds off all from 60' gains. The mph didn't vary much at all

Good times for sure! Kind of off topic but do you have any more pics of your dash? It looks killer I haven't seen that swap before, I'm guessing a 67-72 dash?
Thanks carter
