Red oak, oil-based semi-gloss exterior house paint over oil-based primer, non-polished stainless strips.

Here is a link to mine in, it is my website for various projects I am involved in.

I am still trying to find 2 factory wheel tubs for a good price to finish the mini-tub.

Re: Post your Bed Wood/Metal - Customized/Modified or Stock

Its about 13 years old now and gets used and abused. I occasionally carry dirt bikes and stuff home from the Depot. If you look hard in the corners you can see the motorcycle tie downs that are painted and mounted flush to the floor. It has a small mini tub, and gas tank mounted in the rear(tank filler might not be pictured). Its held up well, I used boat urethane with UV inhibors.

When I redo it, I'll use a satin finish next time. I think it will look great with the painted bed strips.

This one was stained to match the truck. It looks much better in person. Note that the two tone paint job was carried inside the bed to match the exterior.

Re: Post your Bed Wood/Metal - Customized/Modified or Stock

I love the subtle nature of it and the finish quality of both the two tone paint and the bed floor. What a tremendous amount of work must have been required to produce this result. Very impressive.

16 guage steel, sprayed with Rhino linings. I was at one time a spray tech so this one is a little extra thick.

Re: Post your Bed Wood/Metal - Customized/Modified or Stock

It might be hard to tell what this is. When I did the Rhino linings I had the bed off. I was affraid that when i put the bed back on that i would scratch the back of the cab. So I decided to Rhino line the front of the bed and the back of the cab. This worked great, even if I decide to change the color all I have to do is tape to the edge of the lining. No need to paint between the cab and bed anymore.
