Possibly. Just make sure you aren't rubbing the bag on anything once you do.

I run drop spindles with plates on top and cut cups on bottom(flush with lower arm) 245/45/17 tire 25.7 diameter. cross member hits the floor when aired out. yes cutting the cups will help.

Just don't cut the cup too much.
It needs to set solid in the lower a-arm
I've heard 1-5/8" is the minimum total height.
Any less and it will rock around in the a-arm.

Re: Installed airbags and still dont set low enough.

OK did find out that my ball joints are binding. What can I do about that? I noticed that when raising it from aired out to full up when it first starts going up I hear a clunk on both sides. I am going to cut my cups to 1 5/8" and should I weld them in or just let em set in the frame?

Re: Installed airbags and still dont set low enough.

I'm looking at pie cutting the uppers. Read a lot about the upper ball joints binding up n seems like it might be the answer. Anyone ever do it?

Re: Installed airbags and still dont set low enough.

i don't have any cups on my a arms, just plates top & bottom; bump stop perch gone... dropped spindles.

just put the 17" vette wheels on the front and 18" on back.

i have no issues with fender/ inner fender clearance and have full steering travel even when aired out.

good luck putting her on the ground, my lowest point aired out is my lower a arms.

Nice stance! I didn't think those wheels would look good on our trucks, but boy was I wrong! Those wheels look great! Nice job..
