I bought those same ones for my truck...that is a spacer for the front, I had to call monroe to find out though because the old shocks that came off didn't have the spacer.

About the spacer that started this post: Not needed for my rear shocks. Probably needed for a different application.

About the spacer - I just did the rears on my frankenC20 (Original C10 with 20 driveline) and the spacer came in handy on the left side for clearance past the leaf.
