My mother-in-law makes the best I have ever had. But if she doesn't have any, the back of someone's car is my next choice.

Hey DB,

When I was a kid I was driving a tractor in the Central Valley during the summers....yeah, you have good choices alright!!

One time we were supposed to go to dinner at the labor contractors' house, but we got behind that day for some reason. So what did they do?? He and his family loaded up all the food they had made for the dinner, and brought it out into the field we were working, and we ate it right there out of the back of their car with paper plates etc...Best mexican dinner I've ever had in my life. Course, it was a trusted source, but still....

Good eatin' to ya!!

Re: Hot Tamales! Making good use of my hood!!

We have a guy that comes around our shop and sells them out of his car. Definitely better than most around, but we also have local Pedro’s tamales that are pretty good for mass production.

When I think of tamales I always think of the story, and I can’t remember if it was a joke or a real story about a guy up north who could not figure out why people loved tamales so much. He thought they tasted like crap. Turns out he was eating the husk. He said as bad as the taste was the real “ROUGH” part of the ordeal was what happened when……… well you get the idea.
