Re: my 66 pro street project

That's great!

If I may make a suggestion. Don't just scrap your original cab. All or parts of it may be of value to others. If it has the high hump trans cover, that and the mating firewall piece has value by itself. If the roof is straight, that has value too. There are many guys with worse cabs, that might be able to use it.

Re: my 66 pro street project

I'm liking the engine. How many cubic inches is it? What casting are those angle plug heads? I have a set of 492 castings with 2.05/1.6's. I like these because they have an exhaust crossover, which is nice for street use.

Re: my 66 pro street project

Its a solid rollor 383 set up on alcahol\e-85. eagel crank, eagel rods, 13-1 comp. Ill have to re check the heads, Cant remember off the top of my head. I belive this motor 202-160-125 with ferrea valves witha BUNCH of port work, the tunnel ram has been port matched also. You could pretty much drop a egg through it lol

Re: my 66 pro street project

I love that look so much, I have been looking for some big n littles for my truck lately, almost pulled the trigger on a set of 15x5 and 15x14 centerlines with new dirt sprint tires (treaded slicks essentially) but common sense took over since I have wheels already.

looks great is the jist of what I am saying

Re: my 66 pro street project

Any reason you are running such a short panhard bar? The shorter it is the more side to side movement you get with a bump.
