Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

These are from Branine Chevrolet in Mulvane Kansas... These appear to be from the early 70's... My Truck was originally purchased From Branine in 1966... The Dealership closed its doors in the mid 90's and sold to a Ford Dealership... since then the building has been several automotive type operations and now sits empty... I would really like to find some of the original "Cast" emblems from them but have not been able to locate any so these will be magnetized so they can be put on and off and not damage the truck...

Interesting... so its on the bed sill below the tailgate?
Unless someone needed a reproduction thats fine.

But if you do want a better picture shooting some light under the tailgate ledge (maybe a mirror) would probably help a lot.

Yeah, the truck original had a step bumper. It also had a camper shell from the time it was new. I have the take off gate that is as nice as the day the truck was sold new. The sticker may have been more visible with the step bumper.

I remember them, used to buy parts there all the time when I worked in Redondo Beach. Been gone about 10 years or so now, place was a Mercedes-Benz dealer for a bit but then closed. Vacant buildings still there. Corner of North Sepulveda and 8th. Street.

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

Holy cow, here's a license plate frame from a dealer in my hometown on eBay, going for $228: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-El-Segu...-/120860111817

Says the dealer was established 1952(A little before my time but I think it might have still been there when I was a kid). It's long gone now.

I've got one of these in my garage. I'll dig it up and post a pic of it. Then maybe I'll sell it on eBay

This will be on my 2wd Jimmy. Lucky for me GM Canada had the selling dealer info otherwise it would have remained a mystery.

Where is the picture of your dealer tag? I realize those weren't asked for, but don't those fit in here, too?

Here is one I got from Teeitup who removed it from 67-72 truck. I find it comical for some unknown reason

Ok....I'm in.
Here are the originals off my truck (there are 2 for both front and back) which was a Fremont, California built truck and shipped to:

John Geer Chevrolet
Sacramento, Calif.

....hopefully license plate surrounds count. Always nice to have this original stuff with the truck, along with build sheet indicating the same destination, etc.

All good

Yes, like I posted before, license plate frames are welcome as long as they are period (~66-73).
