went to the wrecking yard saturday morning....got a dome light lense and the little bulb and wire for lighting up the heater control.....ordered a heater control repair kit and a lighter assembley from LMC...then i removed the bed from my parts truck and sold it....sunday i went and moved my 71 olds cutlass...from one storage to another...its been sitting since 93 ...but it fired and drove just like i remember it...realised i really miss driving that car.....then came and worked on the jeep thats taken residence in my garage ...almost finished with it....raked the yard of all the leaves...that was my weekend...

I took all 3 doors apart and fixed the locks, squared up the radio hole in the dash ( p.o. hacked it up) for Kenwood cd player, wired up the kickdown switch for the trans, adjusted modulator and carburetor, cleaned on '72 disc brake front suspension getting it ready to install and went shopping with the wife.

I finally got Project Daisycutter's cab and bed dropped off at my buddy's body shop. Spent Saturday stripping the cab all the way down so we can get started on the bodywork and patch panels. Sunday, I worked on my work truck to get ready for the state inspection today; new plugs, oil change and a clean-up of the engine bay as I've been neglecting her of late.

let's see....

I moved my cab and all my stuff to my shop, because I'm moving into an apartment.

I welded on my buddy's cougar (back window area)

and I put bigger casters on my engine run/test stand, so I can get the engine hoist to roll under it. I still need to finish putting the guages and the radiator support on it.. but it is alot closer.

FINALLY, got time to replace dist. cap/rotor/module(had truck about 8 months!), I'm amazed that the truck was running at ALL! The HEI brush/spring thing fell out of the cap, there was MAJOR burning and scarring of the under side of the cap. The truck runs alot smother and with more power now. Wonder what else was neglected on this truck?

Replaced both window regulators and all of the window fuzzies. Its so nice to be able to roll up the window now, no rattles and no (very few?) leaks.
