Re: 67 short fleet
Slick, Looks good, but I think your off on the time frame of this project. Madison is 15 and you bought that when we were trying to be professional drinkers. It's looking good. Are you butt welding or lapping the joints? Looks like I better get to work, your making me look bad (lazy). Your perfectionist ways are starting to pay off.

Re: 67 short fleet
A little more progress. B pillar patch installed and rocker being test fit. I need to order door hinge rebuild kits to final fit door so I can final fit the rocker panel. I had my son take an action shot.
Thanks for all the comments!

Re: 67 short fleet
looks great matt, looks like your getting to the fun part. For me fitting the cab corners was the worse part, maybe yours won't be such a pain.

Re: 67 short fleet
Thanks for all the comments. Not much progress today, just garage cleaning. I had the site change my user name. Someone used our debit card number last week at fedex and charged just under a $1000 so we are a little spooked. The bank took care of but still a PIA.

Re: 67 short fleet
All is good. I just thought having my real name posted with pictures of what I own was not a good idea. In my opinion.

Re: 67 short fleet
Looks good so far, I picked up a '67 shorty this past fall to swear at if I ever finish my Blazer. Wanting to fit the doors on tight hinges says you know what you're doing!

Re: 67 short fleet
I ordered hinge pins and bushings from GMCpauls today. I need to look at Bruces' "Its just a pick up" thread. He did a detailed write up on hinge rebuilding.

Re: 67 short fleet
Matt, Lookin, good. To the others watching this build, easy with the complements. I've known Matt a long time and I'm concerned about his ego.
Matt hates to make mistakes and well...... were watching.. When you gonna let me help? I've been practicing some lately and would like to work on something I don't have to finish. |

Start a build thread so we can see where you are at.

Re: 67 short fleet
No real progress bud. I removed the hinges and ground the bottom end off to help in removal. Not picture worthy. I will press them out tomorrow.

Re: 67 short fleet
Slow progress! Hinges are blasted and epoxy primed. I misplaced the hinge pin and bushing kits that I bought from GMC pauls. I have looked forever! I assume they are gone. I ordered more today. As soon as I get them I will hang the door and continue on the rocker.

Re: 67 short fleet
Pins and bushings arrived today. I really struggled with putting the hinges back together! It can get confusing. I will take pictures of the other side before I take them apart. I need to call 35 prog and have him stop and look at my doors. I wish they were in better shape.
