Re: How's this for an idea for a 72 GMC
it may be, i've never heard the name of the place, but there's a guy with a body shop that told me and he said he would get me the number, but he never did, so i'm kinda at a dead end w/ him. Thanks for the info

Re: How's this for an idea for a 72 GMC
id say to stay away from the big block idea im in highschool and i know exactly what ur thinking big bock is more power is more fun well i have a 454 in my 78 chevy and i cant aford to drive it anywhere and my best friend has a 402 in his 71 stepside and a big block mopar in his 68 road runner and he cant afford to drive either of them and with gas gettin more expensive it wont get any easier to rive them any time soon and the 350 will treat u fine for whatever u plan to do with the truck
are u looking for a wood bed or a steel bed cause ive got a few steel beds layin around that id be up to tradin to ya but they need body work but if ur looking for a wood bed id look into ripping out all the old wood and metal parts that hold the wood down and fixin ur old bed keep the truck as original as u can plus the wood beds look so much nicer

Re: How's this for an idea for a 72 GMC
the bed is badly warped and burned and not re useable and my parents pay for most of my gas and i will not hardly drive it, but i agree with the wood, it does look much nicer

Re: How's this for an idea for a 72 GMC
yeah, i like the front end on it, i may just pull the brush guard off of it and keep the front end and just fix what it needs and add the big block and maybe ad A/C,and some other stuff

Re: How's this for an idea for a 72 GMC
Why not do it for real? If you have a local circle track, there's always a need for push trucks!
IMO put in the BBC, beef up the cattle guard, add a flat bed and go play at the race track!

Re: How's this for an idea for a 72 GMC
Nearest is 100 mi away, i want more of a tow truck than a push truck and definitely the big block
