Not to hijack the thread, but rage'nrat638, where do you get those little booties for the plug wires. I was reading a thread on here in the past couple of days about wires, and going to look for my wires this weekend.

Tx Firefighter- Are those "truck headers" ? I have Hooker super comps on my truck but they don't look like yours, and I had a ton of clearnace all around when I installed them. I got mine from Summit Racing as well.

pan clearance
I believe it difficult for Summit, Jeg's, etc to try and figure out what type of header will fit best in our application, if they are going by factory specifications (size of engine, year of truck, clearance, etc). If we have an engine that was different from the original, then I believe trail and error would be the best solution. I'm about to order a set for my truck, and the best fit will be for a SB Chevelle, this is because of my drop. Best bet is to use what other members have used in their trucks with a BB.
My 2 cents worth... |

I know they make a header for our year truck
So why is it that TX recieved a clearance issue (starter and pan)? I'm sure he ordered a BB header for our year truck. I can order a set of headers for my year of truck, but with the drop I have, I'll have clearance issues (from header to ground).

Hadn't noticed his are big block. Someone mentioned yesterday that you can use Chevelle headers for extra ground clearance.

Thats a crazy bend....I would contact Hooker first to see whats up. If thats the way they're suppose to be...I'm not running hookers. For one thing it would hit my 8 gt sump oil pan.
