Based on what I see so far, looks like maybe new rockers and small section of the floor need repair which I can handle. My current cab is fairly far gone once I got into it needing whole floor and cowl, rockers, corners, pillars, etc.

I'd be interested in seeing photos of:
1. The underside and supports (you already mentioned getting these)
2. The tops of the A pillars where the drip rail is. Didn't appear to be any holes along the top drip rail right?
3. pictures of the bottom corners of the front windshield where there is a seam with 3 layers of metal coming together (it runs from windshield to underneath cowl panel)
4. I know it can be hard to see, but underneath the cowl into the fresh air vents where leaves usually accumulate and rot it out. Looks good, but sometimes when you look up from below, you can see something. Also from inside the cab, right under the fresh air vents.
5. Center of the dash. Saw the radio was cut...not a big deal as mine is right now as well...but just want to make sure it was not enlarged any.
6. Bottom of the A pillars

Also..does this have a title? If not, I'm not worried as I have a plan.
Let me know what price you are thinking...you can PM me if you want.

Thanks for taking the time for the photos..just do not want to drive all the way out there if I'm not committed.
-Bob

I certainly understand! Will be getting those photos you want asap for you. There is no title, but VIN tag is present and good shape. I am pretty sure it is a 72 cab as you thought. I am thinking $575.00 for cab. Jay

Re: WTB: Short Bed Frame (Coil Spring)

Price sounds good to me. Pending the additional pics, I'll take it. If possible, I'd like to pick up sometime next week Tuesday or weds if you are available. I'll be breaking the trip up overnight, so if you can let me know if those days work and what times you can be there, I can plan the trip. I appreciate it.

Also, do you have means of loading/moving it onto a trailer? I will just be renting a UHAUL Trailer

Thanks
-Bob

Re: WTB: Short Bed Frame (Coil Spring)

Well, here are some more photos - not sure what it is with me and that blasted camera, I got these taken and when I went to take more it said it was needing to be charged. Only had used it a little bit since charging it up - and that was a brand new battery to boot - Oh well

I will make one more stab at getting the rest of the photos you asked for tomorrow morning - wish me luck! Tuesday would be better of the two, but I can make either work without a problem.
I will have something to load it onto your trailer by the time you come after it. Jay

Re: WTB: Short Bed Frame (Coil Spring)

I also double checked the spots under the windshield again because the photos made it look like they were rusted through. They were in shadow in photos and there is surface rust, but I didn't see rusted through places.
Also, the picture under the cowl looking through the glove box opening shows chunks of insulation still from factory - thought you might wonder what it was. Of course, someone did use a little spray foam in hole because they wouldn't or couldn't find a new rubber plug to go there.
Let me know how to plan - Thanks so much for your patience! Jay

Re: WTB: Short Bed Frame (Coil Spring)

Jay,
Everything looks great! I'm planning to leave here (Dayton OH) on Tuesday (5/24) morning around 7AM. Google maps says its about 7 hours from here to Columbia MO so assuming no major traffic, I'm guessing 8 to 8.5 hours to get out there which puts me at your place at 3 - 3:30 PM.

Let me know if that works for you. Also let me know if you were able to find the cab mounts and/or engine cradle/brackets so I know what you want for those.

I'll PM you my cell # so I can keep you updated on my progress and text you when I'm about an hour out.

If you can PM me your cell and your exact address, that would be great!
-Bob

EDIT: I am renting a 6x12 utility trailer so we should have plenty of room...I have straps as well.
