Welcome from another international member here in the north of the surprisingly sunny UK. Sounds like you have the same issues with parts that I do over here, I do order some stuff direct from the US and some of the vendors on this board have been very helpul, specifically Wes from Classic Heartbeat and GMC Pauls. (There are others that I haven't used). I've also used some of the larger suppliers like Chevy Duty. You have some great cars yourselves over there, I did a bit of a trip around about 12 years ago, Melbourne, Sydney, Cairns, Alice Springs and Uluru and had a great time. I loved the MK 3 Cortinas with much bigger engines than we ever got over here and the huge Kermit the Frog green Leyland P76 I saw.

Even though you "bought it done", I'm sure you'll make it your own. I don't think these trucks ever get done, hehe. Nice ride! Welcome from Northern Kentucky.

Welcome from Colorado! WOW, that is a beautiful truck!
Maybe I can try to hook up with you this summer or early fall. I may be in Australia to do some work at Tarong Power Station near Nanago, and Stanwell Power Station at Rockhampton, and will be around the Brisbane area for a couple weeks. I might be back to visit one down close to Adelaide sometime next year also. Hopefully, if I have time, I can find my way down towards Sidney for some more sightseeing! Congrats on a sweet ride, and welcome to the board!

Welcome from NW Iowa USA. I've been to Australia courtesy of Uncle Sam. When I was in Vietnam I took my R&R to Sydney. Lots of years ago and I didn't remember a lot of it right after I left.

68xxx
First I will say nice truck. I have often wonder if there were any over there. I also have a 68, not as nice. As an Australian living in the US, since 82, I will say that I truely miss being home. My Family lives in Perth. My wife and I live went home in 2000, her first trip there. We stopped by the Gold Coast, fell in love and are planning to retire there. I have seen a couple 1970+ Monaros over there. I have often thought of shipping an HQ to the US. Now thats a beautiful car.
I have attached a pic of my truck. The frame is powder coated. Talk to you later.

Thanks again guys,
Anyone coming to my neck of the woods is more than welcome to e-mail me and I will let you know what shows are on in the areas that you are visiting and will meet up myself if coming to my area. We don't have any all Chevy shows as there just aren't enough here to fill a whole show but we do have a good range of Rod and Streetmachine, all American and the usual Vette, Mustang, etc shows. Thanks again and I must say that I am surprised at how active this forum is. Cheers, Mark. |

Welcome to the board 68xxx from Connecticut, USA. It's great to see board members from other countries other than the US and Canada.
I love your truck. It makes me want to convert my 67 step to a fleet. :p Fortunately I have a 67 longfleet as well or you just might have influenced me to do so. Neither of my trucks look as sweet as your's though. They are just a work in progress but you give people like me some hope. Hope you like the board. There are some great guys and gals here who are very helpful.
