It seems that not all trucks got this sticker. I have looked at a few all original trucks (including a nice 50th not too far from here) that did not have this build date sticker.

Anyone interested if I decide to part it out? I need to get this thing out of here before I spend more money on it.

I'd expect it to be a Custom or CST too. Perhaps we need to re-examine that rule for the 50th's. It's lacking the usual Custom/CST stuff. Chrome window trim, vinyl door panels chrome wing windows and such. That's a fairly unusual configuration for 68.
I was surprised to see carpet in that truck at first but I see it come's with bucket seats.

If I had a few extra hundred bucks laying around and a barn to hide it behind I'd be heading down for it now!
Are the bucket seats still there?

To Longhorn man
I may be wrong but I think that the blue VIN decal on the inside of the door started with the 1969 model year.

What is a 50th?
I am unfamiliar with the term "50th" regarding the '68 LWB.Can someone define it for me? I am interested in this thread since I have a somewhat identical '69LWB,95% original, daily driver (same color also) that I may need to sell to pay for my other projects, and the new 2500HD.Thanks.

working on it
1968 was the 50th (golden) anniversary of the Chevrolet truck. GM made several of their trucks lines with a special paint and interior trim. These would be gold/off-white with parchment trim The codes for the color are 551 and the parchment 625 interiors. It was a one-year only item. In 1969 there were some colors that were close but not the same like the code 525 for saddle. Here is a link to a board members web site that shows some of the different models that were offered. http://www.longhorntrucks.freeservers.com/photo.html
