Don't mind JYJ, he's a victim of one of those "blasts" I alluded too. He was on the ouside perimeter and managed to survive though has obvious residual effects. Documented side-effects are TYPING IN ALL CAPs and a lack of tact.

He can't sell that 68 panel because it glows and has a residual image on the seat of the previous owner who was vaporized at ground zero.

I had actually Made a trip out to San Diego a couple of months ago and went out to the desert. There was an old abandoned mine out there that we checked out and to my surprise there was a 67-72 long fleet bed lying there in a small gorge. I was almost tempted to climb down there to see if I could get anything good off of it but how would I get it back to CT, so I just passed.

I just left it there and my friends used it for rock throwing target practice

I couldn't partake in such an activity, so I just sat there and watched as they made fun of me.

Damn non-car enthusiasts.

Naw .. I'm O-k I'm Not Up To Driving 2500 Miles For A Hug From Another Guy. (thanks Anyway) Theres Quite A Few Trucks Out Here, You'll Even See Some From The Forties. This Is A Good Place To Find A Project, But Believe Me... They Are'nt Just Free For The Taking. This State Is About 85% Blm Land (state Land) Where Almost All Of The Abandoned Cars Are Removed. People Out Here Get A Little Testy If You Try To Take Anything From Private Property Without Permission. It's Kinda Funny.. Most People Out Here Value Their Stuff At About 2 Or 3 Times What It's Worth. :d John

Don't believe what Junkyard John tells You.He was known as John till he moved to the desert. He soon started to pick-up every abandoned car/truck he came upon.He soon had to change his name!

I have seen tons of them out here laying in the desert....Problem is, that piece of desert they are laying on is private property and the vehicles are the pride and joy of the property owner....

I live just about a mile from the pease river and there is a string of model A's and any other old car you could ever dream of about 100 of them hooked on to a thick (like 3 or 4 inch) metal cable down on ther river bottom to keep the banks from eroding

I have photos of one of the K-20's that burned. That panel survived but some others were not so lucky.

That's Blue Diamond Area..... What a shame.....!!!

So,is this true? Are there 67-72's laying out there to donate? Anybody live in Nevada?...Just curious.
When I first Moved to Pahrump in the Early 90's, I worked with a guy that knew I liked Cars/Trucks and the such.. He proceded to tell me there was a Canyon between Pahrump and Shoshone California on the Nevada side that there were complete vehicles from the 20's to the 60's in different stages of disarray.. I spent 15 years looking for this Gold Mine!!!!!! As I said Off road truck and Horse back.. Then I hooked up with a guy that had a private plane, We spent a week everyday Criss-crossing that area, Mapping where we had been..

In the end, I know that the guy that told me of this great gigantic field of Dreams was sitiing in his Grave laughing his ass off at the IDIOT that really believed his story....(Which is really OK,, I did have a good time doing it!)

But I can take you to some of the Big Caves that Charles Manson hung out in.. I found them on one of my Car/Truck locating trips....And I can show you where the law caught up with him, at the Old "Baker Ranch" In Death Valley..... His Bus is/was still there as of 5 years ago.. Maybe that's what your guy meant????

I guess I`m being a smart ass, too.I`m weelwy sowwy.Junkyard was just sayin`that was more of a tall-tale than reality.I once spent a whole summer looking around Canada for Paul Bunyun & Babe(my favewit)and never even saw a guy with a double edge axe or a single ox.Not even a brown one.The lumber jacks had chainsaws and were using log-skidders.I learned a hard lesson:you can`t believe everything you here.If you did find what you were lookin`for,I doubt you`ll find a signed title in the glovebox. If you find it in a yard in the desert, they just might be willing to sell it,but you`re a long way from home and even if it runs it`s a bit of a logistical challenge.I`ve subscribed to the Arizona edition of the TruckTrader and spent countless hours drooling. You can have those rust-free,relatively cheap, project trucks delivered to your mailbox. But,gettin`one in your driveway is another story.I do it,it ain`t easy, and if I didn`t believe in the Tooth-Fairy(she`s a FOX)& SantaClaus,it would not be possible. This is intended as fact delivered w/humor.Not animosity,or how ever you spell it.

O you silly guys! There are vehicles all over the place rotting away, waiting for someone with a dream to buy them for $100 and rip em all apart in hopes of one day peeling down main street with a 6 pack of bud and a big joint to chris n the ride on Friday night!
