This is a gmc value Van box truck any possibility they used different frames on this or were made different at another company

The VIN stamp on the frame occurs at the vehicle final assembly plant, so the supplier doesn't matter.

The VIN on the body should match the VIN on the frame.

Thank you Keith. Do you know of another place were this body would be stamped or it just came with a plate somewhere...I can't find it,the door on the driver side of this gmc came rib bided and there's no glove box

It should be on a plate attached somewhere, but I wouldn't know specifically where.

Did you say who the manufacturer of the body is (ie, Grumman, etc)?

I can ask some of the guys around here if they know or recall.

preciador6, Search your entire step van body. Independent manufactures could put the Vin plate anywhere they wanted. So you need to look everywhere until you find it.

We build/built multiple millions of vehicles every year in Flint. Doesn't seem that unusual that if the truck was still local that a donor frame would come from the same area.

It's a Flint 1971 frame.
