In my opinion, it is partly the high gas prices, but also the outlook of what's ahead. This seems to be a board of mostly younger ages, but to us that have gone thru a few recessions, the outlook in the air now has all the makings of rough times ahead. I'm from SW Virginia and I can see changes already, but for those of us in the states that need to heat our homes, there is great concern. Around here the weather has been consistently warm and it has put times more or less on "cruise control", but once the cold rolls in I expect more changes.

Thus the reason of vehicles not selling, basically speaking, in my opinion, along with a flooded market with a lot of cars and trucks up for sale.

Would also like to point out that I'm not one to have a negative outlook, but I am one to face reality and put my cards on the table.

I've been having a horrible time trying to sell (or even get offers!) on my 71 (with a 454). I also believe the gas prices have had a huge affect on buyers. It sucks for me because I would like to get it sold ASAP, because I'm in college and I would like to have some extra money for a computer and stuff, so waiting is possible but it would be really nice to get it off of my hands and be able to use the extra money for things I need...

Truck for Sale
