Re: Opinion's Wanted, Lowered Crew Dually?
from the bed pics that rear end setup needs to be redone the 2 link setup needs to be on the bottom of the rear end not the top but if u did a 4 link with strong enough bars and ran like ambulance bags on the rear u can tow just about anything

Re: Opinion's Wanted, Lowered Crew Dually?
I'm more curious as to why the bed was cut....is there that much of a space conflict that the springs hit the bed?
I agree, go 4 link and bags... |

Re: Opinion's Wanted, Lowered Crew Dually?
wow i wanted one for the longest time just like that but have no storage space in the garadge. SWEET truck though you did well on that trade. to bad your not doing the build up it would make for one heck of a truck. true the wheels are alittle much but it could be one heck of a truck when done and with the right set up could tow well. I also see in the pic looking at it from the frot a willys pick up lifted in the backround????? not sure if i am right but does look kinda like a willys from the firewall up.

Re: Opinion's Wanted, Lowered Crew Dually?
I'd love to build me a Crew Cab Stepside one day. It would be a very stock deal, just find a crew cab in nice shape, chop the frame, shorten the driveshaft, put on the stepside bed and paint everything nice. Swap out the front suspension for half ton stuff and put a 5 lug rear end under it. It would look like something that could have rolled of the lot back in the day.
I'll just keep dreaming though. I want to build a drag car more than a second truck. Maybe when I graduate from school in a few years and get financially able, I can find a nice used 03-07 crew cab for my daily driver. Last edited by Pyrotechnic; 07-12-2007 at 09:44 PM. |
