As far as the alternator mine is internally regulated, I don't have a whole lot of experience with externally regulated ones. I always convert. I have both headlight bulbs and a used aftermarket marker. As far as the other I plan to use a painless harness and new switches. I'm not sure how good all of my stuff is, (I don't think the wiper switch is very old) but you're welcome to pick through it.

Hey redneck PM me. I'm off from Saturday afternoon till Wednseday afternoon and I got a 71 that's layed up right now. Might as well get somebodys truck running. I'll be proud to help ya out. I got a spare front light and lens assy. We'll see what we can do about the other stuff when I get a look at it. Also there's a bunch of us that live on the North side of Houston. It's like backyard 88 said "We're all just one big happy family".

Re: Its a SAD thing but i might have 2

I've done the internal regulated alt mod and a lot of other electrical mods to mine. It shouldn't take to much to get yours going from the sound of it. We can go through the electics and should have you fixed up in a day or two. the only thing you said that worried me was the motor mounts. Whats wrong with them?

How often you see your sisters? I think I have 4 head light bulbs that you can have. I could drop them off with them. Also later today I'm driving by that 67 truck I'll stop buy and check the price on it.

HOLD IT!! I want to make sure I'm reading this right. You have been driving this truck, blowing off Mustangs and Camaros, with the engine just sitting in the truck not bolted down. I'm surprised you have any truck left to work on at all. I'm to far away to help but you guys that are there I would suggest getting the truck where you can pull the engine and install the engine mounts, then check the wiring harness for pinched or worn spots then put the engine back in and bolted down. Once everything is properly grounded and hooked up it may all start working. You don't have to have the A/C all hooked up for the heater to work. You do have to have power to the blower motor however. That is enough to start on and then work on the little stuff. I'm sorry you are injured and hope things get better soon.

Re: Its a SAD thing but i might have 2

I say it, any newer truck is going to cot at leat $300 per month in a payment, higher insurance due to a loan, and unless it is brand new with a warranty it will still break. If you cant afford the one you own, you sure wont be able to afford a payment and maintnence. I say for now keep, immagin if you payment was due tomarrow!!

Re: Its a SAD thing but i might have 2

I sold my 04 Hemi Ram to get into a classic truck - $400 for payment, $75 ins, same bad gas mileage, and I would have owned it in another 4 years$$$ No or low payments goes a long way in the bank account....

Find a nice used car or S-10 and save a little money to work on the classic. Once you get your head above water then look to repairing the Chevy. Good luck and let us know what parts you need.
