Just a can of spray paint. I assume "bomb" because it is under pressure.

Re: interior paint

Has everyone painted the top of the dash with a flat color? I wondered about this myself. I think the orginal paint was gloss, althought it is hard to tell.

I would think it would last quite awhile. There aren't too many things inside a truck cab that could really fade/destroy your paint. The paint inside my cab is almost mirror glossy, but I think it was done with a spray gun.

The top of my dash used to be blue.

Re: interior paint

Does anyone have any tips for painting the roof on the interior of the cab? I already painted the dash with Duplicolor and it turned out real nice. I know I can paint the doors and the pillars without a problem but how do you paint the roof? Do they make any attachment or nozzle for a spray can that sprays straight up?

Re: interior paint

I don't really know how you would paint the roof, just spray it the best you can I guess.

Rattle-can painting is underrated IMO. Everyone thinks that rattle can painting will always look bad, even though it can look great with the right paint and prep. Just IMO.

Re: interior paint

when bombing the roof make sure the can is pretty full, if it is low, the paint wont come out as well. I used duplicolor and my interior looks so much better

Yep I agree. Make sure the can is pretty good and it should turn out just fine. I don't have a pic of my roof area on this computer but it did turn out as well as the rest.

Re: interior paint

Those are some great looking jobs done with spray cans and it has inspired me to give it a shot being that my budget is limited. As far as prep work is concerned, what is the best method for removing the old paint and do you strip it down to the bare metal? Thanks and again - great work!

Re: interior paint

The prep is the same with all painting.Spray cans work well in smaller areas like an interior and where direct light doesn`t hit it.The advantages of a spray gun are in larger areas. And,once you have the equipment, materials are cheaper.Paint is paint.
