Re: Calling all LWB trucks!! (lets see pics)
Hey folks!
Great thread and the various trucks from custom to unrestored originals is a gas to look at and read about! Ive posted these before but here we go again. I dig all these trucks, steppers, shorties, etc. For me I had to have an 8 foot box tho, as I haul 4x8 sheets a lot, and my trucks do get worked. She has lost the ladder rack and toolbox right now, but if the jobs come up, they'll go back on. With any luck next winter she will be comin in the shop for the restomod it deserves. Keep em comin longbox guys!-----DAC

Re: Calling all LWB trucks!! (lets see pics)
Here is mine. The trans went out so I'm taking the front end down to the frame to fix a few things. Might not be on the road for at least 6 months because I cant afford the transmission. Going to have to ride my bike through the thunderstorms and cold.

Re: Calling all LWB trucks!! (lets see pics)
1-PU70,
Your truck is very tastefully done. Nice attention to interior detail and drive train but still maintains the stock exterior appearance. Nice! Here are two of my '67-'72 long beds that I still have. First, a pic of my 1968 GMC C1500 that was my first ride ( I got it when I was 15 in 1987…boy if that truck could talk, and NO it did not look like this when I got it) and a 1972 C20 beater truck that I picked up at an estate sale in 2002 for $300. Everybody needs a beater truck right? They must….everybody wants to borrow it all the time. The last two pictures are the before and after pictures of my 1970 C10 that I spruced up and sold back in 1992. It was an all out body and mechanical learning project when I was in high school. Long story behind that thing. It was the practice truck for the body work that went into my ’68. It was cheap….I traded a TH400 transmission for it then sold it for $2800 18 months later. Not bad a bad return in 1992 money for a 19 year old kid with about 11,200 labor hours into it at $.25 an hour. The good news is I bought a '72 Blazer with the money....the bad news is I fixed up the Blazer and sold it to buy a 3 year old Toyota 4x4 truck to get me through college. Sold that sucker too and bought my 1978 K10 which has been my prize possession now for 10 years! In case you were wondering……My dad owned a shop while I was growing up so I did have a lot of tools and people to learn from which helped a lot! I have to give credit to a lot of adults for guiding and teaching me stuff along the way while I was just a pup.

Re: Calling all LWB trucks!! (lets see pics)
A lineup of mostly all LWBs, Ironhorse's 71, a red 67, red 71, and a purple 69. All but the last two were member either here or the Kansas City group. The purple 69 was a drag truck, had a juiced 496.
