Talking Calling all LWB trucks!! (lets see pics)

We always here about how sout after the SWB trucks are...I would like to see a thread with LWB trucks on it...of course that is what I have. Nothing against the SWB trucks, I like them..but am partial to the LWB. Anything goes..lets just see restored or on blocks...lets see the LWB trucks. I think we can be sporty too...plus we can haul more.

I prefer the longbeds also. To me they just look right and I think they ride better too. Sorry no pretty pictures.

Re: Calling all LWB trucks!! (lets see pics)

I use just about every inch of bed space in my truck, so I have learned to love the long bed. It used to not be that way, but it sure is now.

If I ever get shop space, i will build another frame for my truck with all the suspension/drivetrain goodies I want and drop my body back on. You see a lot of custom short beds, but there aren't enough longs around IMO.

Re: Calling all LWB trucks!! (lets see pics)

Heres my ride.. I daily drive her in the summer and have lots of plans for her as the money evolves. The driveway pic is the way previous owner had the truck with the rallyes and whitewalls and I think it worked on the truck. The pic with the river in the background is the way she looks now and the last one is a photoshop job with the way I want her to eventually look. The last pic is of me and my truck at asmall car show in June 05.

Last fall next to the 71 Malibu.
I want to get fresh paint on the box this spring. I've been working my way around it as time permits.

Re: Calling all LWB trucks!! (lets see pics)

My 1970, low and long. Sittin' on some mean 15s. I won't show the inside of a bed because it shows it's farm roots.

Post air bags. 1 year ago.

Devil's Lake, 2nd place under 21.

One long bedside. Sanding takes forever, you SWBs don't even know. (pre airbags)

LWBs have more room for girls. Or I had more room for girls, now only one gets to ride, and that's in the cab.

Re: Calling all LWB trucks!! (lets see pics)

Last restoration was in 1988. Needs another one real soon. I have been the owner of this truck since 1978.

I love the longbed. I could look at pictures all day.

There are some great lookin' trucks in here. Mines not worthy of a picture.
