Re: Tubbed 55

This is not true on a Wishbone Track Locator. This is the correct and only way it can be mounted in order to make it work the way it was designed. The front joint does not keep the rear end from moving side to side. This is accomplished with the welded section of the bars. When the frame is on jacks and the front joint is disconnected you can not force it side to side. The front joint allows the suspension to travel up and down along with the slip joint. The slip joint will take care of the roll of the truck and uneven pavement with no strain on the front joint. If it were mounted the other way the first good bump in the road the front joint would snap.

Re: Tubbed 55

Well after 4 years I am back.... I have been working hard on the truck for the last month or so....I finished all the body work on the cab and took it to a buddy to shoot the paint. I placed a huge order with seals, rubbers, handles, etc which came in last Friday... Picked up a new windshield Saturday at the Swap meet. Will start putting it back together. Never mind the date of the pictures...Just noticed the date is wrong on the dang camera...

Very good. It is nice to see 15's on these classics. Especially when they are 14"s wide!

Re: Tubbed 55

I finally built the motor and trans and they are in the truck. My garage lighting makes it look red but it is Chevy orange.
