Re: Bench or buckets?!
I have no idea what a buttrocker is, but it sounds like one of those sayings you make up when you're in 7th grade. I think it was "Cambodian bootie-scratcher" when I was that age.
Either way, the thought of someone running down the street screaming "buttrocker!....BUTTROCKER!!! is making me laugh like an idiot here at work.

Re: Bench or buckets?!
I vote bench only cos when I go out in town and don't drink its fun to give 3 drunk friends a lift home, usually one guy and 2 chicks
Don't worry they all have seatbelts, the b & m shift only adds to the fun

Re: Bench or buckets?!
Stock is sexy, and ment to be.......we didn't buy these old trucks to be pampered, and comfy. We baught them because the work everytime, reliable, and we like them.
If I wanted to be comfy, and pampered I would have baught an 81-87 suburban Duro

Re: Bench or buckets?!
Mine has the original bench. Ain't nothin' gonna' change about it either.
Mainly because there's not enough left of the floor pan to mount buckets to and I'm too cheap to buy anything else that would allow all three of us to get in it.

Re: Bench or buckets?!
If you look closer to the pics you see that i used three original mountingholes from the benchseat to bolt the console in place and drilled one new (front/inner).The seats are bolted to the console with their original mount in front and one bracket welded to each side. They are fully functional and the adjustability is great for huge guys like me and little girls like my better half!

Re: Bench or buckets?!
Since it is normally just me riding and sometimes the LOML, I like the buckets. I plan on making a console for mine using Q/S white oak on the sides. Unsure of the design yet. I'll need to include arm rest, cup holders, radio, and some gauges.
I want to pull the carpet and put a mat in instead.

Re: Bench or buckets?!
I'm wanting to know more about these also. My bench is torn up and needs a complete redo, for a little more I can get a 40-20-40 bucket bench, armrest seat that bolts in. I don't know which one I want. David

Re: Bench or buckets?!
Depends on the bench seat. I don't care much for the 87 and older benches. They are too uncomfortable too me. No support. The 88-98 years have some really nice bench seats that work real well in the older models. Like was mentioned by others, I do love the comfort of real buckets, but like the convenience of the bench.

Re: Bench or buckets?!
I like the older ones in good shape. Seems like the few 88 and up I have been in are pretty stiff.
