David,
Last time I saw it it was in pieces. You have been busy. Nice work!! How did the bed turn out?

That does look good. I have made absolutely no progress on mine except the crash class at school did finally get my wheels painted today. Even the bed I got from you is still sitting on the back of the $75 truck I drove to pick it up with.

It may not be what you want, but surely you have thought about using stepside fenders attached to the outside of the fleetside bed, right? I, in my humble opinion, think that they would look better and more original than using any of the aftermarket fender flares. I wouldn't use any on the front wheel openings, but the step fenders on the rear? That's what I would do.

Looks good. Congrats.

I will probably go with nothing at all..........I love the cut/weld on step side fender treatment that is common but I did not want to do it and the rear axle I have is too narrow to do that and make it look right. I had the step side fenders and was prepared to go that route........I went the other way because it looked good tucked under the bed when I dropped it on. I tried some 4" bushwacker flares on the rear and didnt like them.....the new ones I am going to try are smaller and will look similar to the ones pictured below. They will however wrap all the way around the wheel well unlike the ones pictured

I was going for a 2wd version of what is pictured below and I am sure there is not one person on this site that dosent think it looks good!

Ok.........here are the pictures of todays work.........I got the rest of the bed wood out and attached (partially) one of the fender flares.......You cant tell from the angle....but they stick out the exact amount the tires do.....

Give me your thoughts on the flares.........I am only planning on putting them on the rear..........I like them!!!

Re: New trim on the 68 chevy dually, GMC longhorn mut.

Flares came from LMC ......some of the guys on the board know about the red truck...I dont....I believe they said his flares are off a Jeep....notice they dont go all the way around the opening.

I like them alot! It makes the bedside look a little more flush with tires! That thing has really turned out great!
