Re: Which Security system to use??
My truck is a daily driver, year-round.
I have guns at the house, a carry permit, and a large German Shepard. We have a locked gate on our driveway that is always locked unless one of us has it open to get through. None of which are available or a bit of help if you are away with the truck, i.e. Motel, river fishing or hiking overnight, dinner with friends after work. None of the suggestions are any good for acouple of drunks going through the movie lot or motel lot keying the nice shiny vehicles. I don't think I would shoot someone who was stealing or screwing up my truck or stealing the wheels/tires. Where I went to school [many, many years ago] we were taught that the remedy has to be consistent with the offense. You don't put a bullet in someone unless that is your last resort to prevent immediate injury to yourself or others. With all that being said, I am still interested in an alarm and maybe an electrical and a fuel [electric fuel pump] shut off inside the truck somewhere. Interesting thread .

Re: Which Security system to use??
Great ideas that I hadn't thought of and most are cheaper than the alarm. Greg
