I have the clear ones with amber bulbs and lined the buckets with aluminum foil to bame them more reflective.

I think it depends on the truck color. IMHO I tend to prefer amber as there is something about cruz'n at dusk park lights on, amber just looks cool to me, just my [.02] worth.
