Re: Project Fatboy Update
Not to get off topic, but are they still around? I was in Harriman over Christmas '06 and it looked like they were gone.

Re: Project Fatboy Update
Man if it wasn't for Kaylor coming by and helping out I would go nuts. The only other person thats there on a regular basis is my wife and she is not into trucks as much as we are and she jus shakes her head and walks away !!!! No really she has great moral support and couldn't do alot without her and friends like Kaylor

Re: Project Fatboy Update
Powel72,
he has closed his shop and moved everything to his shop at his house. I went to his website about a month ago and the domain had expired, I'll see him at the July 4th car show in a near by town, he always comes and sets up and sells parts. He is a really nice man and great to deal with, I have bought a lot from him. John - Becky will beat him like a RED HEADED STEP-CHILD !!!!! |

Re: Project Fatboy Update
coming along well. I finally replaced the front crossmember this morning (Original DESTROYED in shipping) and put in the rear shock relocation kit. A couple more items and the chassis will be done.

Re: Project Fatboy Update
Only some of the doors had nuts wekded into them, others had the square holes punched. I have the original caged nuts that fit the door. They are the same as the ones for the arm rest. WES

Re: Project Fatboy Update
They have the square holes, that explains why some of the ones in the original doors would not stay in the door ( had to epoxy some in to get them to stay ).
Thanks Wes !!!! If I can't find some local I'll give you a call and order some for my doors ( if I don't go with the Rod Door panels. |

Re: Project Fatboy Update
John,
yeah the pass door came in a Goodmark box and the drivers came in a Triplus box ( I always thought that Goodmark was your parts also, guess Goodmark has multiple suppliers ), anyway your door fits REALLY GOOD and the Goodmark, well it's liveable with some work. Need to get with you about a few more small parts that I will be needing. |

DeWayne you're right down the street from Jerry Brown and a short drive to Christian's- I'd recommend buying local as much as possible. And if you've never seen Jerry's OE parts collection over there go snoop around. |

Re: Project Fatboy Update
We use multiple vendors in our business also, keeps everyone competitive !!LOL. To be in business, you must have a back-up plan.
I have been to Jerry's a couple of times and you are right MAN does he have the stuff !!! They are super guys to deal with also, I have bought and sold with him in the past. First Class all the way, as are the Vendors on the board. I just bought my drop spindles from Tim Christian, again FIRST CLASS all the way !! |

Re: Project Fatboy Update
Josh and I pulled the fenders last nite so I can get to the hinges to adjust the doors. ( took about 30-45 minutes to pull them both and I was suprised everything was in fairly good shape ) got a couple of small things but nothing major so I am happy !! I'll adjust doors tonite and freshen up the grill area and firewall/fenderwell areas. Hope to be able to paint doors and have back together by Monday.
