not a close up but you get the point...I'm planning on finding a new exhuast system with an H or X pipe one day soon. When that happens i may have to change the exit location, im not sure how much i like where they are now.

I pull the truck partially out of the garage if I'm running the engine. If you stand around the bed you'll smell the fumes. Especially around the tailgate. If you get down around behind the truck, you definately feel the heat.

There was one red stepside in an old issue of Truckin that had a cool rollpan exhaust. I'm looking for it now on their site. Here's a page on Jeff's site that has the truck, but not the rear view.

http://www.73-87.com/7387info/misc/bsb_2.jpg

**update**
Well, I looked through all 37 pages of feature trucks on that site and couldn't find it. Oh well. The rollpan had two semi-circular cutouts at the bottom where the exhaust tips came through. It looked pretty cool.

Re: Lets see your exhaust exit locations!

i have mine as turn downs at the rear axel after my 5/7 drop. its loud as hell, but that because i have strait pipes goin to the turn downs. in my opinion if its lowered, its better not to see them unless they are in a good lookin place, but thats just me.

Re: Lets see your exhaust exit locations!

i have long tube headers into 2.5 inch pipe then 40 series 2chamber flowmasters with 3 inch dumps in front of the axle. they used to dump under the cab but that was way to loud.

Balances out the exhaust pressure from side to side. A H-pipe does basically the samething, although x-pipes typically make more power by design.

Re: Lets see your exhaust exit locations!

My truck sounds like this Vette. I have dual Magnaflows and Xpipe.

X-pipes explained
http://www.pypesexhaust.com/xpipes.html

Dumping before the axel is noisy for any muffler. Especially inside the cab.

Totally. Dumping the exhaust under any car/truck will make it louder for no other reason but because the exhaust note echoing off the ground and echoing off anything under the car/truck chassis, etc.
