I used 1 gallon. So far. I think I can use another qt though. Thats because I had to respray the cab once. I had massive striping.

Wow, I wonder how long a primer like that would hold up. I love what's on the can. Lets hear some opinions on this stuff guys. Anyone ever use this?

http://www.tcpglobal.com/kustomshop/...IT-HRF289-M-GL Here is some clear for it. If you go to the web site www.paintforcars.com you can see what others have said about the product. If you are just going to be using it for a short time then it might be ok. I have never used it.

I would say to resist the temptation on using primer alone without sealing it. Moisture will eventually penetrate it and start rusting from the underneath. All your hard work will be ruined. Just an FYI, I realize people will still do it

As sweet as the can is, don't put that on anything you value. That primer will help it rust. There are other products that will hold up to the elements.

what I did when painting my frame that was sandblasted, I used duplicolor etching primer for two coats, then three of rust oleum semi gloss black.

I'm not a professional painter, but I don't see why not if you wanted to. But I don't think you would need to since the 'Hot Rod Flatz' paint is UV resistant.

I was shooting more for the waxing possibility and a little extra rock chip protection being as im surrounded by gravel roads

If you want to go basecoat/clear coat then I would get a true BC/CC system, and flatten the clear. They make flattening agents for the clear coat. No reason to spray clear over the single stage HRF.
