Re: Anyone ever had a problem with LMC???

I would give a member here a try on you next order. Tim Christian is very knowledgeable & his prices fair. I have been taking my business there for a couple of years with zero complaints.

Re: Anyone ever had a problem with LMC???

hah wow, now im worried tha ti may get the wrong part!!! all these misses for lmc.... and ive been waiting patiently for 5 weeks now for this part to arrive, and i only ave about 2 weeks left to put it together!! ARGH!.. we will see i guess..

Edit: oh i did order my drop springs and cabin light cover from classic heartbeat (pretty sure), and i got it sooooo quick, actually i ordered from them AND LMC at the same time, i ordered my roof panel from LMC and ordered the spring from heartbeat.... the shipping on the springs, was LESS even though they weigh much more than a flat sheetmetal piece, and it came a week and a half sooner... shoulda seen it coming lol

Buyer:"I`m confused by your listing,Will this part fit my vehicle?"

Seller:"Just buy it and find out.If it doesn`t fit it`s your fault for not getting accurate info before ordering."
i agree with special K. there magazine is very useful for putting stuff together. but their shipping is ridiculous their oversize fee of 20.00 and their truck rate fee of $125 dollars is unreal. its free if you spend over a 1g their shipping is unreal. most of their stuff is cheap I learned not to buy any of the things like cig lighters, glovebox light, wires, etc. things like that because China dont even make stuff that cheap. they are set up for profit only and a screw the pooch type buisness module. just my 2 cents

Re: Anyone ever had a problem with LMC???

Ordered many parts from LMC, hit and miss, shipping from most the large vendors Brothers, LMC, etc are all very expensive. Word of advice:
Save your money, purchase in bulk, get a dealers discount on the prices.
Otherwise, use the vendors.

Re: shipping...

Some of these parts places do make some profit from shipping but after shipping some stuff for Christmas last month, I realized why.

List:
1. First, you have to buy the package material and pack the item the way the shipper requires.

2. You have to make sure it's packed in such a way as to not damage the item.

3. You either have a pickup setup with the shipper or you have to take it to them.

4. Cost is based not only weight of the item but size of the box.

The shipping charges at the shipper are pretty outrageous these days. I suppose it's because of the gas prices last year. Now that gas is down, they haven't made an effort to reduce their prices. I paid $12 for a small box that was 12X12X8 inches and maybe 5-6 lbs. Multiply that by 3 boxes and it adds up not counting the time to box them up.

I somewhat agree but most shipping places offer HUGE discounts to companies that ship alot of stuff, and pays much less than the average joe does to ship most companies already profit off of the shipping as it is.
some shippers even provide the shipping materials etc. because they would rather have their materials made to their standard used than your own packing!
and a company this big more than likely has what the shipping comapines call a buff setting outside. This means they set out a trailer or truck and the company fills it up and the shipper comes and picks it up daily and drops off a fresh empty buff, or one full of incoming packages to that place. I use to work at a major shipping company and am very well versed in how it works, Thats why it makes me so mad to see their policys.
LMC shipping policies are unreal and they are preying on the consumer.

Sorry just a little venting there.

i think we need a place like ricks first gen for our trucks!!!! they have everything you need to build a camaro and a pretty knowledgeable SP? staff on those cars.
