Again, it depends on the back spacing of the wheel.
i have 15" rallys with 2.5 western chassis spindles on my 81 jimmy as well. fits like a glove.

Re: CPP narrowed track width drop spindles...

2.5" drop spindles will work with stock 15" wheels and the original brakes?

I would like to order spindles and keep these temporary wheels(6 lug), but what to order - stock replacement or one specificly for disk brakes?

Yes. 2.5" spindles w/stock brakes will work w/15" wheels (depending on the back spacing). If re-using 6-lug wheels, they need to be compatible w/disc brakes (OE 60-70 steel wheels will not work w/later OE disc brakes). You can get aftermarket 6-lug steelies that work w/disc brakes or use 6-lug 4x4 ralleys.

CPP has a quality marketing program; it's their customer service that needs work.

Re: CPP narrowed track width drop spindles...

The pictures are not very good. Camera was set at low res. I can try to take some high res ones if everyone wants to see them.

This is my first attempt at posting a picture. The calipers were unfinished from CPP. I sanded them smooth and painted them with 2 stage to match the truck. Here is the front.

Here is the rear.

The front end is not aligned. I set it a close as I could with my eye. With a plumb bob on the mounting face of the rotors, the track width was 52 3/4". I was told by CPP the track width would be 5/8" less on each side.

I was given the worng rotors when I picked everything else up last year. I talked with Danny and he shipped the correct ones the next day with a UPS return label. CPP has treated me well and I would buy from them again.

Agreed... I am an ECE fan for sure because I have always had great luck with their products and customer service. On that same note I have used some CPP parts that were of great quality and did their job, just no luck if you need some help from them on something.....

Yep, I'll use them if I must. But, if it's offered elsewhere, they lose my business strictly on the CS aspect (& I've used CPP muliple times).

Re: CPP narrowed track width drop spindles...

$299 for the spindles then anothe r$75 for th ebrackets to use stock brakes..... They are going to get you any way you go.... I wonder how these would work with a 15X 3.5 rim?

Question Re: CPP narrowed track width drop spindles...

just wondering if you have a porter dropmember that already narrows the track width, will these spindles narrow them even more? Or do i even need them if I have a dropmember since it already narrows width? Looking to run 22's

How close do they bring the rotor in to the lower control arm?

Re: CPP narrowed track width drop spindles...

These might be my answer to getting my tires to tuck. I ordered 20x8.5 with 4.25BS and the tires rest on the inner wheel well at or near full dump. I'll have to keep these in mind.

Re: CPP narrowed track width drop spindles...

Custom 68, go ahead and pull the trigger on one of these kits. Then maybe I'll bump into you and get to check it out firsthand.
You're running a wider front wheel with some drop, aren't you? What do you have up front now?

Re: CPP narrowed track width drop spindles...

well if I do it of course you can check it out
currently I have only a 2.5 inch drop with spindles and stock springs so the drop is pretty mild but still looks good. my tires are 275-60-15 all 4 corners. I dont know the back spacing as these were bought many years ago... They are an 8inch wheel and looks to be a pretty deep outer dish and yes I get some rubbing only on "dips" on the road. not bad but I dont like it.

Re: CPP narrowed track width drop spindles...

Has anybody figured out if you can run 15x8 rallys with the modular spindles?
