Re: 1968 4 door? Is this for real

It actually looks like a Truck, Suburban, K5 Blazer. Conglomeration...LOL

How hard would it be to do this? It looks like they used the top, sides and doors of the P/u and cut the Burb behind the drivers door? That seems like alot of work, but does give you the fourth door?

Any better ides on how to approach this build from an easier angle?

Unfortunately, there's no easy way about it. Take a look at ROKCRWLN's thread called Penicillin. It will give you an idea of the work involved, especially with doing the 4th door.

Boy, Watching Kevin's work can be almost as discouraging as it is insperational...not as easy as cutting off the back sheetmetal of a P/U and welding it on the burb is it? That was a little reality check...I gues I will stick with the 2 door ramp truck Idea for the one ton

Yet GM,as well as IH,had the foresight to build the Suburban and Travelall.I think that was their crewcab. The early factory crewcabs had short beds anyway...except for IH,who ironically stopped making light trucks before the market was taken over by them. So,the first Dodge and Ford crewcabs were just for tools and small equipment that in most cases would fit in a Suburban where it was locked and dry.
