Re: Stepside Roll Pan and Bumper Pics
I like the bumper. I'm looking for a painted stepside bumper. Are they the same up to 1987????

Re: Stepside Roll Pan and Bumper Pics
Not a fan of the roll pans on any stepside, it's the square corner that looks outta place to me hanging under the truck, but if it's what you want, weld it in for sure

Re: Stepside Roll Pan and Bumper Pics
whatnow123, what size wheel/tire combo are you running?
I just went through and looked at this thread again and looked at those old pics of my truck. I'm SOOO glad I switched from the 4" to the 5" rear spring. My truck just looked goofy before. Here's a "now" shot. Ahhh much better.

Re: Stepside Roll Pan and Bumper Pics
[QUOTE=68Stepbed;3273866]I just don't like the roll pans. They've always just looked stuck on to me. They don't seem to blend with the lines of the bed and fenders. At least the bumper looks like it's supposed to be there.

Re: Stepside Roll Pan and Bumper Pics
Whats the specs on the wheels on your truck? Also do you know what year the rear end is in your truck as some were shorter than others.

Re: Stepside Roll Pan and Bumper Pics
I got a couple of replies on this so here are the specs. I've got the early rearend so it's a little narrower.
The fronts are 8 x 17 with 4.5 BS, 275 50 tires. The rear is 10 x 17 with 4.5 BS, 285 60 tires.

Re: Stepside Roll Pan and Bumper Pics
That's a nice looking stepper whatnow123! nice stance and paint. What brand rollpan is that - it looks great to me. I have a Mar-K rollpan waiting in a box in my attic, and I hope it looks as good as yours once I finally install it.

Re: Stepside Roll Pan and Bumper Pics
Anyone have a rear shot of MUDDER'S Bumper? It is a bit narrower than stock. But don't remember what he said it was off of. I think you can fab just about anything to fit.
I am just a bit leary about getting rear ended without a bumper with a tank in the rear. Plus if you got bumped even at a low speed your frame is probably toast.

Re: Stepside Roll Pan and Bumper Pics
I hand made mine to go from fender-to-fender, instead of just being under the tailgate.
It is no longer on the truck, so now it's just garage decoration.

Re: Stepside Roll Pan and Bumper Pics
I made a simple one for my truck, it gives a place to put the lights and it's better than the thick old bumper
It is all about your own taste.
