Stepside Roll Pan and Bumper Pics
Lets see some pics!! I need to decide between a bolt on roll pan and a stepside chrome bumper. I would rather have a bumper, but I don't like how wide they are. Any pics to help me make up my mind??

Re: Stepside Roll Pan and Bumper Pics
I got the same problem i dont care for the role pans on stepside because how far they stick down and the bumper is too wide hopefully someone will have a better solution i was kind of thinking neither with just a flip down lisence plate that can tuck up when you dont need it plus no photo radar

Re: Stepside Roll Pan and Bumper Pics
I know its not exactly the right year, but heres mine with a roll pan.
Ive seen guys take the rear bumper from 78-87 malibu wagons & El Caminos, & put em on stepsides. looks decent +they have taillights in the bumper.

Re: Stepside Roll Pan and Bumper Pics
I just don't like the roll pans. They've always just looked stuck on to me. They don't seem to blend with the lines of the bed and fenders. At least the bumper looks like it's supposed to be there.

Re: Stepside Roll Pan and Bumper Pics
I have a step bumper,I think from a 73-79 fleetside, that was cut down and narrowed to stepside proportions. It needs painted now,but I like it and its functional

Re: Stepside Roll Pan and Bumper Pics
mine's got an el camino rear bumper - my grandfather built this truck in 1991 or so, apparently this was cool then...? I do like the way it cleans up the rear of the truck, so it's not all bad. It's mine now, so come paint time the bumper will be replaced with a roll pan with lights in it. (sorry Pawpaw!)

Re: Stepside Roll Pan and Bumper Pics
I dont have a stepside, but I wonder how a narrowed and tucked bumper would look on a stepside bed? It would be costly if you decided to rechrome it, but you could smooth out the bolts as well to really clean up the rear end. If it was a painted bumper it would not be costly at all if you can weld and do bodywork.
