I have 2 of the evap canisters I took off my 79 if you want them! comes with the straps. and hook them up to look like they are working! lol

I have a Big 10 78 with Heavy Duty Federal emissions. Since yours is a Big 10 all you would need is a PVC valve and a 3 port thermal vacuum swich on the thermostat housing. I think, 78 was the last year big 10/heavy halfs got away with out having a cat on them.

ahhhh haaaa!! finally some good news!

do you think they (dmv,smog place)keep record of what regulations a certain vin # smogged under in past years?

I don't know. I wouldn't think they would. I don't know much about them since we don't have them here, but I would think they just have a computer base on what your model of truck should have. Not what it has done last year, etc.. So if you changed something I don't think they would really know.
