350 with Crane cam 222°duration,Edelbrock Performer intake and 625 cfm Carter carb,Dynomax Jet hot coated headers and dual exhaust!
The cam is replacement for the 350 hp 327 cui motor!
Dyno results: 178.8 kw / 243.4 hp and top speed 218 kph!
Not to chebby for a worn out carb and over the thumb ignition settings!

Naaa, It's a Mallory distributor assembly. I had the Mallory coil take a dump, All I could find local (had a show to attend) was a Accel super coil. I painted it red to match the cap.

Re: Show your motor..73-87

Here is a pic of me mocking up my 8.2l Cadillac a while back. I still have to get this motor together. Stock rebuild with upgraded cam, intake, and valvetrain. Similar setups net around 390hp/500+ torque. Real easy swap.

What are the rest of the cam specs and who makes it? How much vacuum does it pull at idle?

That sounds a lot like my C-10 did with the 408 when it had the Performer RPM cam in it.

Re: Show your motor..73-87

Ok, I'll post mine, even though she ain't the purdiest one on here.

As far as I know it's an unmodified GM Crate 350 with a Rochester 4 bbl. I have a rebuilt carb and a set of headers going on it as well as a pair ov valve covers that I'm buying from a fellow board member. I'll add a video of how she sounds later.

Re: Show your motor..73-87

The ol $300 86 tbi 350 I got used, ebay 86 and up edelbrock intake for 60 bucks, and a old serpentine setup I got off my old 89 caprice after I did the LT1 swap.

being a Canada made engine it didn't have the fuel pump machined so i had t go electrick pump and regulator.

But a LT1 will take its place this summer.

It's a Comp roller cam, 232/238 .544"/.555" 110lsa installed at 106icl. Pulls about 13-14"HG at 850rpm. Runs power brakes & HVAC just fine.

Re: Show your motor..73-87

This is the orignal 350 w/ a Holley 650 that I need to pull...spun bearings... oil leak.
I have a '79 350 out of a chevy car to put in it's place. Far from pretty but the truck has never been a beauty queen, it's been workhorse...although I do find the old school alarm pretty cool. Long term future plan is to rebuild the original 350 with a little more umph...it also needs a fair amount of body work before that is the priority.

That is some serious surface rust. Makes me glad I'm not anywhere near the ocean.
