Re: Junkyarding
That's the 5th monte I have seen in that yard in the last 6 years. They had an aerocoupe when I first went there.

Re: Junkyarding
That is such a shame. They are such a great looking car. Why would anybody in their right mind want to scrap one of them? If I had the room I'd rescue one of them, although my wife reminds me that i can't rescue and adopt them all! ...Joe

Re: Junkyarding
I can find out. How do you get it off? I'm guessing it'll be around $75-150 depending on
what they value it as. They might charge differently since it's in the Big Trucks section.

Re: Junkyarding
I'm in need of a set of seat belts for a 66, if u could check to see if any of those 64-66 trucks have a set it would be most appreciated.
Thanks. Scott

Re: Junkyarding
Those are awesome pics man. Thanks for sharing.
There are a few cars in there that look like they are still in pretty good shape. Funny how one persons trash is another persons treasure. The car market has influenced a lot of it too. Some cars it's easy to find parts for cheap, and others it is not. So to some it's cheaper to scrap it then to fix it. It's a shame, but works out good for the few that go there looking for parts. |

I got the Cab Lights, fireman style. There is a For Sale ad in 67-72 trucks for them. I noticed the door on the 60's C50 has some bondo by the mirror area, but the underside is really clean. I can get it for $75 plus shipping, but got to let me know today or tomorrow. Should i grab the tow hooks from the fire truck and the wrecker? There are a couple other style tow hooks from those large trucks there too.

Re: Junkyarding
I love the scrapyard too much...
I recently pulled a hydroboost from a diesel truck. My truck has power brakes already. I'm not sure it would be wise to put it on the Camaro. Last week I snagged a core support. Mine's repairable. These are just the latest examples, and both were in full sun at over 100F. |

Re: Junkyarding
Yeah, there are a bunch of hydroboost setups here, just don't know if they are worth picking up.
Just took in a 78 Big 10 shortbed here recently. box is rusty+
