Some basic options found on base trucks include:

AM radio
Gauges...the small ones across the bottom
Front stabilizer bar
Power Steering or power brakes
Step bumper or any rear bumper

All these were options. It's rare to see a truck with no options at all.Your '72 is either a CE(V8) or CS(I6) model. The 307 would be the base V8 and the 250 would be the base I6.Anything else would be listed as an option. The standard transmission was the column shift 3spd manual.
Mine has a 350 with a three speed automatic, maybe it's not at the bottom of the list?

Re: C/10 and Custom/10

There is no bottom with these trucks,IMO .The fender badges are about trim level. As said before, you could have all the options on a Custom/10 and no options on a Cheyenne Super.A lot of buyers didn't want carpet or cloth on the seats, yet wanted about everything else.A buyer could also not want any fancy schmancy fragile aluminum trim that traps debris up and down the sides of his truck, yet all the comforts, power, and HD.I had a '69 C/20 Stepside with 396,4spd,a/c,p/s,p/b,tach,posi,chrome hubcaps & bumpers, and other options.
